I wrote this on 4/19 but forgot to publish it....oops!
About a week or two after I wrote about the bunny, Tyson went to spend the night at my friend's house WITHOUT the bunny. Needless to say, it was a disaster. Poor Patsy woke up at 3 am to a screaming 4 year old who wanted his bunny! Tyson cried for about 20 minutes or so and then finally agreed to get in the bed with his brother for the rest of the night.
The next week Tyson took that thing everywhere. One day he left it at Patsy's the night before we were leaving to go on a camping trip. He went to bed that night knowing that we would get bunny in the morning and he was fine. His daddy, on the other hand had about enough of it! Big O pitched a fit all the way to Patsy's house and had all kinds of things to say about how Tyson couldn't be 40 years old and still cry for his bunny. That day was a turning point in our lives. Owen and I decided to make the bunny a permanent home in Tyson's room, and when Tyson turns five, bunny may have to live in the closet (that's Owen's desire). Tyson agreed and has spent the night off several times since without the bunny and has not cried over it once.
Yesterday he accidentally brought the bunny into the living room after naptime. When I mentioned it, he said, "I don't want him" and took it to the bedroom. My baby is growing up!!
